AROUND THE TOWN

Historic Trails

Faith Rock has both an ecological natural heritage and historical significance to Randolph County and the Town of Franklinville. It was the setting for one of Randolph County's most legendary Revolutionary War incidents involving Tory guerilla leader David Fanning and local Patriot Andrew Hunter.

The Franklinville Rail Trail section of the Deep River State Trail extending 1.75 miles (3.5 miles round trip), and the Faith Rock Trail (.75 miles).
